Inspiration

What is Inspiration? When I looked up the meaning, I found several online. Two of those stuck out to me. Inspiration: a divine influence or action on a person believed to qualify him or her to receive and communicate sacred revelation and Inspiration:the action or power of moving the intellect or emotions.

Lately, I haven’t been feeling inspired to write or blog. I was starting to feel a bit disconnected from God and my purpose. I felt inadequate to be ministering to others when I constantly mess up and fall short of God’s glory. I’ve learned that in order to be authentic in ministry, it requires vulnerability. That is something that I’m not used to doing or like to do. I like to feel covered and protected instead of bare and naked. I was unsure if this is something that I still want to do. While I was contemplating my next steps with this ministry God spoke to me through various outlets. Several people began to ask me about my blog or tell me how much they enjoyed reading it. This gave me a little confidence boost because at times I felt like no one cared or that no one would miss it. I then realized that even if I touch one person or made a difference in one person’s life, that was more than enough. The fact is, God has been so good to me. He’s moved mountains when I thought there was no other way out, he’s opened doors and closed a few too. He’s gotten me out of so many situations that was meant to destroy me…how could I not only give thanks but share this with the world? How can I not want to shout from the rooftops of how great the God that I serve is. I don’t need to search high and low for inspiration. There’s inspiration all around me. The fact that I’m alive and I make it out of my house and back home safely everyday is nothing short of a miracle. The songwriter says “no matter who or what we are, we must praise!” Whatever we are good at, what we do, we must do it to bring Glory to his name. So I plan to continue to use my gift of writing to do just that. Please continue to pray for me as I continue to grow this ministry. ❤️
