But God!

Have you ever been in a situation and it seems that there’s no way that you can make it out? Have you ever thought that things are just the way that they are and it won’t change? I know, I have. There have been times when I thought that the current situation I was in, was going to be final and there was nothing that would change about it. At times we may even find ourselves in pits and we question God or we don’t understand why.

The thing that I realized about life is that there are ebbs and flows. Good times and bad. Mountain top moments and valley moments. Nothing stays the same. Change is inevitable but God is constant and consistent. Let’s be honest though, no one likes dark times. I know that I’m always afraid to be in the valley. Sometimes when things are going good, I have anxiety expecting for them to suddenly change and go wrong. I’ve come to appreciate my valley moments however. They’re not fun by any means but it’s in those moments where my faith in God is strengthened and I have a deeper relationship with God. It’s in those moments when I can’t do anything but cry out to God that has not only given me a testimony but has shaped who I am.

God is so merciful towards us and his grace is not only sufficient but it’s renewed everyday. Isn’t that amazing? What a mighty God we serve. One of my favorite quotes is “If God brought you to it, he will bring you through it”! Even when we create the mess, he comes right in and cleans it up for us. We may think that our past defines us but it doesn’t. Many of us wouldn’t be where we are today BUT GOD stepped in right on time. No situation is too big or hard for God. He goes before us and prepares the path for us. You may be in a lions den like Daniel, but God has already shut the lion’s mouth. You may be in a pit like Joseph but God has already planned to use it to bless your life and elevate you. You may be at your Red Sea like the children of Israel but God has already planned to part it for you. Whatever it is, trust that God is with you and will be with you. Isaiah 41:10 says “fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand”. I pray that this encourages you to hold on and trust God especially during your valley season.

Be Blessed 🙏🏾❤️
